The University of San Francisco (USF) founded in 1855, is one of the 28 Jesuit Catholic University with 55 acre campus near Golden Gate Park located in San Francisco, California, United States. Currently over 10,017 students are enrolled in different degree courses at USF, including 6,246 undergraduates, 2,952 graduates, 672 law students and 147 non degree students. More than 400 full time faculty members are currently employed at USF. Over 92% of the faculty holds highest degrees in their respective fields. The overall student to faculty ratio in USF is 16:1, and average class size is 29 students.
Nearly 14% of international students were given admissions in different disciplines in 2012. The Alumni toll of USF reaches to about 100,834 students including international students, and it is still expanding. International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) promotes a global perspective of USF by providing support services and immigration advices to international students and scholars. USF has hilltop main campus, Downtown campus and different other branch campuses offering more than 100 degree courses through 5 different schools including College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Law, School of Management, School of Nursing and Health Professionals. USF offers undergraduate, postgraduate, dual degree programs and independent non degree certificate programs. USF also proudly supports online mode of education, which provides flexible timings to busy professionals but with same eminent facilities and education which are provided to on campus students. Its online master courses are Masters in Health Informatics, Masters of Arts in English Teaching, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science in Nursing.

USF was ranked 8th in undergraduate student ethnic diversity and 10th in international student enrollment among national universities by U.S. News World Report in 2013. It was ranked 106th among national universities and its Nursing program was tied for 50th best in the nation. USF promotes student, Forbes listed USF at 95th number among research universities.
